Beach Patrols are set up on a large number of beaches throughout Queenslands coastline. Patrols are set up on the safest part of the beach and are clearly defined by the red and yellow flags. Swimmers should always look for and swim between the red and yellow flags.
Volunteer Lifesavers patrol Woorim Beach, Bribie Island on weekends between September and May. Bribie is also lucky that the Moreton Bay Regional Council supports a lifeguard who performs midweek patrols during some of the year. Lifesaver and lifeguard patrol hours are detailed below.

Season 2011/12
Patrols commence- First weekend QLD school holidays (Saturday 17th September 2011) and end Labor Day Long Weekend (Monday 1st May 2012)
Weekend Patrol Hours- 7.30 am - 5 pm
From 11 December - 23 January (QLD Christmas School Holidays hours are extended)
Weekend Patrol Hours- 7.00 am - 6.00 pm
