Evaluations -
Basic swimming and fitness skills
Nippers doesn’t teach kids how to swim. In fact, kids wanting to do Nippers must first pass some preliminary evaluations to ensure they have the basic skills needed to progress with Nippers.
There are different evaluations for each Age Group, which nippers need to do as a pre-requisite to commencing activity in the ocean. The 3-step evaluation process will look at basic swimming and fitness skills for pool swimming, ocean swimming and competition. happy nippers
Click here to see the evaluation distances for each age group. If you didn’t make it to Sign On Day please have the Pool Swim Proficiency Form signed by an accredited swim coach or assessor.
****Please note: All nippers are required to complete a pool swim before they can participate in any nipper activities; there are no exceptions to this requirement. ****
Beach and competition evaluations will be carried out on the first day your child attends nippers.
****All Nippers from U8 will have to complete a beach competency test before being allowed to participate in the Nipper Programme.****
