Bribie Island SLSC
Old Boys Association
In 2023 we celebrated the 100th Anniversary of Bribie Island Surf Life Saving Club, it is timely to reflect on where we have been in our club’s history. Indeed, one the organisations that have contributed so much to Bribie Island SLSC the last 60 years or so is the Bribie Island SLSC Old Boys Club.

The Old Boys have contributed so much to the life of our club, since foundation in the early 1960’s, both as members and contributors to the Surf Club as need arose. Fund raising at various events, prudent investing. The Old Boys assist at all lifesaving carnivals held at Bribie, one major event is the Annual Charity Golf day, this is a major fund raiser.
The Surf Club has benefited from equipment purchases for Surf Life Saving and funding of Bursaries for JAC (Nippers), for each season. The Old Boys are very supportive of junior development and surf lifesaving at Bribie Island SLSC. Some members of the Old Boys are still involved in club life having made a commitment to the club and club life over a very long period.

At the 100th Anniversary of Bribie Island SLSC, the Old Boys Club has a very healthy membership. As one of Australia’s longest serving Old Boys Surf Club. There is only one way to go making the Old Boys a significant part of Bribie Island SLSC, benefiting the club and the wider beach going community.
